The giants of mobile telephony Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi they announced their partnership to bring a new wireless file transfer system to consumers around the world. This initiative started the creation of the "Peer-to-Peer Transmission Alliance"; a new system that allows the transfer of files between different brands without any interruption.

In fact, the protocol allows you to transfer files without the need for third party applications or network data; supporting a wide range of files, including photos, videos, music, documents and more. According to the three manufacturers, this is a smart move in anticipation of the adoption of 5G. In fact, they expect the average file size to increase significantly with the availability of more varied and higher quality content.
The file transfer protocol will also offer an optimized mobile experience that does not require an Internet connection. In fact, Bluetooth will be used for quick pairing and WiFi P2P (Peer to Peer) technology for data transfer, combining an instant, stable and high-speed connection between devices; as well as low energy consumption.
This technology offers an average transfer rate of 20 MB / s. In addition, WiFi P2P technology does not stop the WiFi connection, which means that users remain connected and can continue their activities on the device during the file transfer.
Users will only need to activate their WiFi, Bluetooth and then select the files they wish to share. If the other user also has the function activated, an icon will be displayed to alert the user. Once confirmed, the selected files will be transferred.
The three brands say they will continue to collaborate openly to offer new updates. In addition, this alliance will also welcome other brands to expand the ecosystem more and more in the future.
Finally, as regards the first real use of the Peer-to-Peer Transmission, it is expected to see the smartphone's technology from the three brands starting from February of this year.
