Oppo: maybe it's still too early for the camera under the display

Yesterday we learned that Visionox  is ready to put the technology for mass production into production camera under the display. For those not aware of it, Visionox is one of the main companies collaborating with the brands of telephony for the production of displays. Even the folding ones have their signature. But all that glitters is not gold, in fact Oppo wants to put a brake on users' hype (rightly) they expect one right away smartphone with camera under the display. It does so through the words of Shen Yiren, former "boss" of the company da poco retired.

"Right now don't expect too much from the camera under the screen" these are the words of the former CEO of Oppo. The arrival of these smartphones is not imminent

In a recent post on Weibo, the well-known social network where Chinese brands are used to giving product communications, Shen Yiren he admitted that to immediately hope for the arrival of smartphones with invisible cameras is useless. For convenience we have translated the post into Italian: clearly the translation is automatic and not at all correct but the meaning is clear from the beginning.

He says it is not necessary to have high expectations on this type of camera, meaning that his arrival is not imminent. The attempt to reach the maturity of this technology is undoubtedly interesting and has produced excellent results ma evolution is gradual. From day to day there are steps forward but the path to reach the complete maturity of this technology is still long.

Although Visionox has "completed" its camera project under the display, this does not mean that all brands are ready to implement it in their smartphones. Xiaomi e Oppo they will be among the first to use this technology on their devices but we expect that they will within a few more months, probably later this year.
