CEO Shen Yiren began the conference by presenting what are the "discoveries"And the brand's most interesting devices, released this year. Cn much pride has mentioned, among many, the recharge 65W SuperVOOC Fast Charge 2.0, which we find on Oppo reno ace (the first in the world), e Oppo Reno 10X Zoom with processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and the much sought after optical stabilization.

Oppo Reno 3 and 3 Pro - 5G connection

Almost immediately the ninety piece of the brand starts talking about the 5G connection. As early as 2015, the company began to study this type of connection on its devices together with the photography, To recharge and ai display. We would like to remind you that the company is the first in the world with regard to 5G patents and that it will not stop investing: allocated 50 billion in research and development for the next three years. Finally, however, we begin to talk about Oppo Reno 3 and 3 Pro.

With increasing network speed, energy consumption will also increase and the arrival of 5G will resolve the gap between before and after this new technology. Oppo Reno 3 Pro focuses on a 5G experience designed specifically for the user: while supporting speed guaranteed by 5G, must also maintain 4G battery life. In view of this the new flagship integrates the Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G dual-mode 765G SoC. The actual 5G download limit is approx 110-120 MB / s, which is 10 times what we saw during the 4G era. All this is possible only thanks to the (internal) design of the smartphone, made up of antennas covering it at 360 °.

360 ° or opposite antennas 3

Using this sort of intelligent antenna, the download speed can be increased by 30%. Furthermore, Wi-Fi and 5G can be superimposed and the maximum download speed can go up to 2.393 Gbps. The dual Wi-Fi technology allows to obtain a download speed 28% higher than if we only used 5G. As we said, the 5G connection is fast but the energy consumption does not increase thanks to Smart 5G. The Smart 5G technology of the Reno 3 series is very similar to the logic of a hybrid car: it will be able to distribute on demand and intelligently regulate the use of the network.

Oppo Reno 3 and 3 Photographic section

Finally we move on to something concrete and we have some photos that demonstrate the quality of this new device in the photographic field.

Without losing too much talk, the composition of the rear camera is as follows:

  • main goal: Sony IMX586 to 48 megapixel;
  • telephoto: 13 megapixels with 5X optical soom;
  • ultra wide: 8 megapixel;
  • depth sensor: the classic from 2 megapixel, with ability to shoot at 2.5 cm away;

We are used to seeing higher numbers but this is proof that megapixels don't make a difference. For example, thanks to the software optimization of ColorOS 7, the mode Portrait Beauty 2.0 it will lead to portraits much closer to the natural than we are used to seeing. As for the front camera, the one embedded in the display, we have one 32 megapixel.

But it's not over here: the series Reno 3 introduces the technology of Ultra Steady 2.0 image stabilization. This mode can be used on themain and ultra wide lens: thanks to it we can shoot extremely stable videos even in super unstable shooting scenes such as horse riding, skateboarding and mountain biking.

In addition to this, thanks to the “Super anti-shake Pro", The area that can be seen by the lens has increased by87%. Another novelty is brought by the proprietary app Soloop: thanks to this everyone can become a vlogger, using different modes and filters that until now have been unusable except through third-party apps.

Oppo Reno 3 and 3 Pro - design and sizes

As for the design and the measures there is little to say compared to what we already know. In 2016, the main flagship models weighed around 150 g and had a thickness of about 7.3 mm. But in 2019, the weight of the same model has increased to 190 g and the thickness is 8.5 mm. With Oppo Reno 3 and 3 Pro we come to one 7.7 mm thick for a weight of less than 171 g (9,5% less than the previous generation).

From an aesthetic point of view we have a double hyperboloid 3D design, technical term for indicating curved edges both posteriorly and anteriorly. Display 6,5 "and 92.1% screen ratio. Compared to the previous generation, the weight of the screen is reduced by 10 g and the thickness is reduced by 0.3 mm.

In addition to the colors which we have told you about, there will be another one Classic Blue, in plain color this time, representing the special edition of the device. Furthermore, this cholera is the color of the year 2020 for Pantone.

In terms of software experience, thanks to SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G on the Pro (MediaTek Dimensity 1000L on the standard version) and configuration from maximum 12 GB of RAM + 256 GB of ROM, high refresh rate screen of 90 Hz, fluidity is guaranteed. Unpublished news: the display it also has one maximum sampling rate of 180Hz, which is rare for a mobile device. To add to this, from the audio point of view we have a speaker that integrates technology Dolby Atmos.

To top it off the price: let's start from a minimum of 3399 yuan (€ 437) to a maximum of 3699 yuan (€ 476) respectively for the 8 GB 128 GB and 12 GB 128 GB versions of Reno 3. Let's move on to a higher figure for the Reno 3 Pro: 3999 yuan (€ 514) and 4499 yuan (€ 579) respectively for 8 GB 128 GB and 12 GB 128 GB versions. Not a low figure considering the processor.
