OPPO is particularly appreciated for its high-end devices, but the popularity for the various OEMs derives from what they manage to perform in the mid-market segment, considering that the proposals on the market often and willingly do not at all regret the top-of-the-range brothers . And so in the climb to acquire new market shares, the Chinese company decided to attack the market with the new OPPO Reno 3A, a device that was already rumored in April even if the company had never confirmed its existence.
Reno 3A adopts a design that is very reminiscent of other devices of the same group, with a rear photographic module positioned vertically on the left side of the body made of glass while on the front we find the now usual drop notch. Distinctive feature of the mass is that OPPO Reno 3A enjoys IP68 certification.
In addition, the fingerprint sensor is not positioned on the rear but inserted only on the screen, an AMOLED unit with Full HD + resolution that covers 89,9% of the available surface. Frames not properly optimized but much better than many solutions proposed by competitors.
On the hardware level we find the "old" but tested and performing Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, chipset that brought glory like Redmi Note 8 to glory. Some might think that the CPU is not up to today's times and instead is wrong because this SoC it is still one of the most promising on the market, allowing you to perform all the actions, from simple internet browsing to the most intense gaming.
OPPO launches Reno 3A: will he be the new king of the mid-range?
In any case, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage are flanked, with the possibility of expansion via micro SD. Reno 3A on the rear offers 4 photo sensors with 48 MP primary lens with f / 1.7 aperture, PDAF and OIS (optical image stabilizer). They are accompanied by an 8 MP f / 2.2 wide angle sensor with 119 ° FOV as well as a 2 MP f / 2.4 macro lens and a 2 MP f / 2.4 depth sensor, while on the front the selfie camera has 16 MP f resolution /2.0.
Everything is powered by a 4025 mAh battery with 30W fast charge support that allows in just 20 minutes to obtain a 50% energy load. OPPO Reno 3A arrives with ColorOS 7.1 on an Android 10 basis while the asking price is around 330 euros at the current exchange rate, currently on sale in Japan.
Excellent features but perhaps 330 euros are definitely too much even for the quality of OPPO considering that at half the price we find the Redmi Note 8 / 8T. Let's see if with the arrival in Europe of the terminal the company corrects the pull on the price, otherwise it will already be a flop at the start.
