Smartphone manufacturers know this and are investing more and more in this sector, so much so that in the near future the devices they have built will support this type of network. Among the companies that most of all are investing we also find Oppo who, according to the latest data, would not be working alone on the 5G: would indeed made an agreement with Ericsson. It is not a partnership for creating a smartphone, but something bigger. Let's see what together.
Oppo collaborates with Ericsson in the field of 5G technology
Our brand recently announced the establishment of a joint 5G laboratory with Ericsson to learn more about the cooperation between the two sides in the field of 5G. Oppo has stated that he will collaborate with Ericsson for promoting technological exchange, using the joint laboratory to share their knowledge, accelerate its spread and for optimize products that support this connection.
It's not the first time that Oppo and Ericsson collaborate in the evolution and development of 5G. The two sides previously signed a global patent license agreement: as of third quarter of 2018, based on 5G terminals of the brand and on Ericsson's infrastructure equipment, the two companies have started a joint test in numerous global markets including Sweden, Germany and China. During MWC2019, Oppo also collaborated with Ericsson to present itself at the level of video games and the cloud. In May of this year, the beautiful Oppo reno xnumxg was officially launched in Switzerland, becoming the first smartphones in Europe to support this technology. Since then, the Reno 5G version has been sold in many countries of the world such as Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia and obviously Italy (in collaboration with TIM).
