Official Oppo Band: The first real competitor of the Mi Band?
The Oppo smart band comes in two versions: one with a simple TPU strap and a more fashionable option with a metal ring that surrounds it. Inside the main plastic body there is also a high quality AMOLED type display with a diagonal of 1,1 ″ and a coverage of 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. To embellish even more the display we will then think over 160 available dials to choose from at launch.
The Oppo Band has a water resistance of 50m, so it can also be used for a swim in the pool. In addition to swimming, there are 11 other training modes, with a long distance running mode that can help us burn more calories by reducing fatigue.
We then find a continuous heart rate sensor and SpO2 monitoring. We will then receive notifications on heart rate irregularities and sleep problems related to oxygen in the blood. The smart band can take an SpO2 measurement every second for 8 hours in a row.
The wearable has an advertised battery life of 14 days with a full charge that can be achieved in 1,5 hours. Additional features include: phone notifications, music control and alarms. In addition, there is an NFC module that can be used for mobile payments (AliPay is supported) and for public transport.
The Oppo Band will be available immediately in China at the price of 200 Yuan, or around € 25 and it will be possible to buy it in black and purple colors. Then there is a "Fashion" edition which instead will go on sale for the amount of 250 Yuan, around 32 euros, and can be purchased in Black and Quicksand Gold (the latter with 24K gold plating).
Finally, we cannot fail to mention the fact that it is a product very similar to Mi Band of Xiaomi. What becomes your first real competitor?
