It almost seems like a fixed fee, that of having to present a specal edition of one's own smartphone, perhaps a workhorse. And so also OPPO would be preparing its special edition of one of its latest top of the range, namely Ace 2, which will pay homage to Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of the many Souls that contribute to Japanese culture also in our territory.
The official on what stated is missing, but the leak appeared on the social Weibo does not seem to leave any doubts, showing an OPPO Ace 2 in a version called EVA Transparent Edition. It is no wonder, given that for Asian producers it is customary to pay homage to the world of manga and Anime in general, for example Xiaomi in the past did it with Hatsune Miku or the more recent iQOO Z1 which boasts a One-themed version piece.

OPPO Reno Ace 2 EVA Transparent Edition comes with a back cover radically modified from the standard version, showing off graphics entirely dedicated to the Hideaki Anno television series. Along the entire rear run geometric lines that are clearly inspired by the special agency Nerv, complete with a central logo. Hence the use of the name EVA, the famous mecha led by the protagonists to fight the attacks of the Angels.

A curiosity is the coincidence of the imminent launch of the film Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, scheduled for June 27, 2020 but which will probably have to slip due to the safety procedures against Coronavirus, even if the debut could take place via streaming platforms. The reason for this curiosity? Well because the special edition of Ace 2 could debut in conjunction with the launch of the Anime on the big screens. Curious?
