In the last few days we have reported two devices from the A12 series, namely the Oppo A12 and A12e, which would be on the market. In particular yesterday we went to discover the design and specifications main of the first, while today it seems the turn of the younger brother.
Oppo A12e coming with Snapdragon 450 and a large notch
According to the latest rumors coming from China, the Oppo A12e would be equipped with a 6,2-inch diagonal display and HD + resolution. On the display we then find a fairly large notch that strangely seems to make a return from 2018 and of which we are surprised as there should be no 3D facial scanner, or the one technology that would justify a notch of this size. As for the other specifications, we have an aspect ratio of 19: 9, while the general measures are 156,2 x 75,6 x 8,2 mm for a weight of 168 grams.
In terms of performance, the Oppo A12e is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor, based on a 14nm process. The chipset is assisted by 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, expandable via external SD card. Software side instead, the smartphone will arrive with the ColorOS 5.1 operating system based on Android 8 Oreo; a relatively obsolete operating system even for a low-end smartphone.
As for the photographic sector, we have two rear cameras. These include a 13MP primary lens and a 2MP depth sensor. At the front, we find instead a single 8MP camera. The smartphone will be able to shoot 1080p video at 30 frames per second.
Finally, from the autonomy point of view, the Oppo A12e will be powered by a 4.230mAh battery which can be recharged through a microUSB 2.0 port. Among other features we will have the 3.5mm audio jack for headphones, a facial unlocking technology (there is no fingerprint sensor) and the Music Party function to connect multiple smartphones and play the same music.
