It is now customary to hear more and more talk about the presence of wireless charging on smartphones, especially if belonging to the high end of the market. OPPO is one of those companies that came to a halt in this respect, justifying such as the fact that this technology was not yet mature. Yet OPPO launched one of the cheapest Qulacomm Snapdragon 865 processor devices on the market last month, the OPPO Ace 2.
Among the main features of this device, in addition to the top-of-the-range CPU, we also find a 6,5-inch OLED HDR panel and Full HD + resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate, as well as 8/12 GB of RAM at flanked by 128/256 GB of internal storage and support for the new 5G connectivity. There is also a quadruple rear camera, with 48 megapixel primary sensor, Android 10 operating system based on ColorOS 7.1, stereo speaker and a 4000 mAh battery with support for SuperVOOC 65W fast charging (wired) as well as 40W Air VOOC of type wireless.

And this latter solution, albeit innovative compared to those proposed by other brands, unfortunately carries a heavy burden as a dowry, at least as reported by some users, whose reliability for the record must be verified. In fact, according to some statements, OPPO confirmed that the 40W wireless charging technology degrades a battery to 70% of its capacity in the same cycles in which a traditional 15W charging would bring it to 90%.
This could be one of the reasons why in some flagship smartphones this technology is absent while companies like Apple and Google do not seem to point at all, aware that they would only put the potential of their devices at risk.
